Duo Lamell-Matthys was founded in 2019 when Nathalie and Josef met at Indiana University’s renowned Jacobs School of Music. Their shared love of good music, good food and good company formed an ideal foundation for their collaboration – and they have been making music together ever since. Currently based in Vienna, the duo combines Nathalie's passion for crossover music and Josef's talent for arranging to create refreshing programs that go beyond the mainstream clarinet-piano repertoire while offering diverse and engaging experiences to audiences. The duo has performed across Europe and the United States and collaborated with artists and organizations including Paul Gulda, Roby Lakatos, Dirk Brossé, Musicorum Festival Brussels, Leopold Museum Wien, Euterpe Kortrijk, Arte Amanti Belgium, and Take 5 Vienna.
